Background
Performing regular preventive maintenance can extend the life of the machine and reduce unscheduled downtime.

- Wipe debris from the upright tracks. Refer to WI-1012 – Wiping the Upright Tracks for more information.
- Check that the machine is level

Monthly or 400,000 feet climbed

- Perform actions for biweekly interval
- Cycle power - disconnect power at the base, then reconnect power
- Check that:
- Pedal straps are in good condition
- Bottle holder is secure and in good condition
- Handles adjust easily
- There are no abnormal noises at all resistance levels
- Maximum reach is 20 inches
- Resistance levels 1 - 11 display on screen
- Physical resistance changes from 1 – 11

Quarterly or 1.25 million feet climbed

- Perform actions for biweekly and monthly intervals
- Check upright belt tension
- Clean and grease the track on the handle carriages
- Check and tighten:
- Dip bar bolts
- U-base bolts
- Upright ankle bolts
- Remove and inspect pedal bolts for wear

Semi-annual or 2.5 million feet climbed
|
- Perform actions for biweekly, monthly, and quarterly intervals
- Check that flywheels and calipers are aligned
- Check and tighten:
- Console drive system front and rear mounting bolts
- Knob housing and fan bolts
- Actuator mounting bolts, link arm bolts, guide rod bolts
- Clean fan
- Grease jaw couplers and spiders

Annual or 5 million feet climbed
|
- Perform actions for biweekly, monthly, quarterly, and semi-annual intervals
- Check that decals are in good condition and legible
