Issue
The upright belt is squeaking after usage and cannot be resolved via WI-1011 – Brushing the Upright Pulleys.
Tools Required |
100% Pure Silicone Oil, 350cSt (CRC Heavy Duty Silicone is an approved alternative) |
Procedure
- Before performing this Work Instruction, ensure WI-1011 – Brushing the Upright Pulleys has already been attempted and upright belt squeaks are still presenting.
- Stand level on the machine. Re-position the handles to shoulder height using the handle position adjustment lever.
CAUTION The following steps require working in and around the upright extrusion. Pinch points exist in the working area. Be careful to avoid allowing your hands or clothing inside the extrusion.
Spray or apply a light amount of silicone lubricant directly between the upright belt and lower pulley.
Do not apply too much lubricant, a little goes a long way.
- Apply a similar amount of lubricant on the alternate side of the pulley.
- Place the lubricant aside and climb 10-12 strokes with a 12 inch or greater reach.
- Repeat steps 3-5 on all [4] pulleys, located at the mid-section of the machine and top of the upright on the left and right sides.
- If the uprights continue squeaking, attempt steps 3-6 [3] more times. If the squeak continues, contact CLMBR Customer Support.
