<p><strong>Procedure</strong></p>
<ol>
<li><span style="color: black;">Before performing this Work Instruction, ensure <a href="/hc/en-us/articles/22562443591572" target="_parent"><em>WI-1011 &#x2013; Brushing the Upright Pulleys</em></a> has already been attempted and upright belt squeaks are still presenting.<br><br></span></li>
<li class="wysiwyg-text-align-left">Stand level on the machine. <td style="text-align: center; width: 100%;"><strong>The following steps require working in and around the upright extrusion. Pinch points exist in the working area. Be careful to avoid allowing your hands or clothing inside the extrusion.</strong></td>

<br>Spray or apply a light amount of silicone lubricant directly between the upright belt and lower pulley.<br><br><strong>Do not apply too much lubricant, a little goes a long way.</strong><br><img alt="Upright Lubricant Application Area.png" src="https://hsfiles.gorgias.help/gm/help-centers/97223/attachment/02b60ac9-9e6b-4506-8698-d55663ef2146.png">

<li class="wysiwyg-text-align-left">Apply a similar amount of lubricant on the alternate side of the pulley.<br><br>
</li>
<li class="wysiwyg-text-align-left">Place the lubricant aside and climb 10-12 strokes with a 12 inch or greater reach.<br><br>
</li>
